Not only Pegasus, but there are also many such Softwares for keeping surveillance.

Incompetent and poor speaker Government representatives are unable to explain a few critical things about Pegasus Software in parliament and various talk shows due to their lack of knowledge.

A) Not only Pegasus, but there are also many such Softwares for keeping surveillance.

B) Various Security Agencies of all major countries use one or more of such software. They have to use them on suspected terrorists, anti-nationals, foreign agents, and officials/politicians of adversary countries/ agencies to maintain sovereignty & integrity of the country and the safety & security of the citizens.

C) It is not possible for Government and security agencies to publicly declare or set up a parliamentary committee or any other inquiry committee to scrutinize exactly which software(s) are used by government agencies, their features and how exactly particular software work technically because in that case adversaries will take proper preventive measures to avoid surveillance by security agencies and spying activities of Indian agencies will be hampered severely. It will be very difficult then to prevent terrorist or foreign attacks, stop social unrest.

D) If Pegasus or any such software are found in the phones of any Indians that doesn’t mean that they were secretly installed by any Indian agency or government, they can be very well done by any foreign government/ agency too as they are also interested in getting secret information about India and Indians for their political/ ideological /safety interests.

Indian politicians, journalists, activists, common citizens browse many foreign sites (including porno sites), install foreign Apps, click links sent by foreigners, receive audio/ video calls, media files from foreigners. Any foreigner can easily install any surveillance software on their phone.

Suppose, some Indians like Mani Shankar Iyer or Siddhu, or Swara Bhaskar are spying for their favorite country Pakistan. ISI will be very much interested to check whether they are double agents, doing double cross or not. So, Pakistanis will naturally be interested to install Pegasus-type software in the phones of their Indian agents and other important Indian politicians/ officials/ journalists/activists for their own safety and political interests.

E) Instead of creating ruckus in the parliament, obstructing all legislative businesses, why don’t these Indians, who perceive that they are at the receiving end of surveillance, go to court/ police to register FIR/ Petition.
They will not do so because in that case their mobile handsets will be subjected to forensic tests by police/ court and all their dark secrets–porno sites they visit, collection of Raj Kundra type Videos, xnxx type pictures, extramarital affairs, actual anti-national activities, if any, will be exposed, even if they delete all of them before submitting their phones to forensic laboratories :p

F) All journalists are not saints. There are some who telecast exact positions/ activities of our soldiers during the Kargil war and immediately firings come there from the Pakistani side as NDTV is accessible in Pakistan too.

During the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, again some journalists disclose rooms of hiding guests at Taj Hotel, preparations/ activities/ positions of our security personnel. After watching Indian TV channels, Pakistani handlers convey that information to the terrorists holed up in the hotel through satellite phones. That increases casualties on the Indian side.

Indian security agencies indeed need to keep surveillance on such journalists to protect Indian citizens
