In a significant stride towards curbing cross-border criminal activities, the North Bengal Frontier of the Border Security Force (BSF) has introduced night vision drones for its six Battalion troops.
This groundbreaking development represents a major achievement in the ongoing efforts to combat trans-border criminals. BSF North Bengal Frontier made the announcement through a post on ‘X’, highlighting the successful utilisation of drone technology equipped with night vision capabilities.
The move aims to effectively counter the nefarious activities of criminals operating across the border.
Accompanying their announcement, BSF North Bengal Frontier shared a video recorded by one of these night vision drones.
In this operation, the BSF North Bengal Frontier, stationed at Border Outpost Oran in the Jalpaiguri sector, seized four cattle that were being smuggled across the border, as per news agency ANI.
The deployment of such advanced technology comes in response to the growing instances of cross-border smuggling, particularly involving narcotics, via drone operations.
