New Delhi: In a significant diplomatic gesture, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared a G20 video during the recently concluded summit, showcasing a trade corridor that recognised Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) as an integral part of Indian territory.
The map featured PoK as a crucial component of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, signalling a diplomatic move that strengthens India’s territorial integrity.
The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, which was launched during the G20 Summit held in New Delhi, aims to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation among the involved nations. This corridor holds immense potential for fostering economic ties between India, the Middle East, and Europe, with PoK now acknowledged as a part of this strategic initiative.
The move by UAE Deputy Prime Minister to share the G20 video with PoK depicted as part of Indian territory is seen as a notable snub to Pakistan’s long-standing territorial claims over the region. It reaffirms international recognition of PoK as an integral part of India, aligning with India’s stance on the matter.
The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor holds the promise of boosting trade, investment, and cooperation in various sectors, further solidifying the strong ties between these regions. As the corridor gains momentum, it is expected to open up new avenues for economic growth and development, benefiting the participating nations.
